The PacBell folks climbed up poles, snipped some wires, restrung others, and generally had a good time with their fox-and-hound tone kits. When they were all done a good four hours later, everything was back up. The line has worked well in the 24h since then. This means that the problem is fixed, hopefully for good now.

I hate T1 problems. They make me all grumpy.

One of the folks who I host asked me for a picture of the actual servers that run their website, and other things like FM and "The Nice". As I found I didn't already have a picture of it, I went and took one. That's revar doing the Vanna White presentation there. :)

Heh... back when reality_fox lived here, the servers were in a slightly different order. The FM box was visible on top of the lower stack there in the rack. Reality_fox's cat, the Undeniable Oz, liked sleeping on top of the box whenever we were working in the garage.

The image of this giant cat laying over the world of the Muck amused me greatly. It's like the lore of an early tribe... "Nightfall is the dark fur of the Great Cat which sleeps upon the world... the stars are white bits of dust in its bellyfur."
