Gallery Changes and Nightshots
Dec. 31st, 2003 02:06 amFirst, a quick notice: To all those who host images on my images.fbrtech.com site, I finally have a new gallery program set up (the opensource 'Gallery' project). If you'd like a new gallery on that site, please, let me know. All your old images are still intact! All the old URLs to pics on the site function. It's just that you can't upload any new ones to the old site, nor have you been able to for months. That one broke and I never bothered to fix it. The software on the old site never really met the needs I had for it anyway.
I won't bother transferring the images from my old gallery site to the new one; it'd be too much work to go edit hundreds of journal and forum entries that refer to them. I'll just start using it for the photos from this point on.
To get things going,
revar and I drove up the coast on a 'why the heck not' trip tonight. I brought the new tripod to see how it holds up. I'm in love with the Bogen 405 geared head. Much-happy. :) A few halfway decent night-shots resulted. Revar will likely post more; these are the handful that survived my own learning process.

One thing to add: when I post photo stuff in LJ please feel free to comment on them in the gallery system or on the LJ entries themselves. Or both, if you prefer. It's all good.
