tugrikI don't know how much of a geek-quotient my LJ-friendslist has -- and of those, I'm unsure how many use or care about radar detectors. I'll give this a shot anyway.
After mostly avoiding them, I think I finally need to give radar detectors a try. A gently beeping reminder that my speed is being sampled would be a great way to re-introduce a little safety-paranoia into my life. With luck it'd help me take the edge off of my awfully over-active twist on the throttle handle, as I'd learn to double-check the speed when it blinks at me. I've not yet had a speeding ticket in California. My only one was in Michigan ages ago when I first got my license. It's just that after one warning and riding through more than one vicious speed trap while out biking, I think it's time to try this.
So -- any recommendations? Any brands to try, or to avoid? *big fuzzy ears perked* I'm currently leaning towards the Passport 8500.
