As promised

Here are the pictures of the actual finished Tikis to go with the designs posted earlier. I finished the last of the production-run ones today. All that's left now is to put metal rings on each one to make them easier to string on a necklace. Each one is individually numbered, making these a limited set just for FC09.



These are just quickie pics on my kitchen table, handheld. Sorry for the short-short depth of field on most of them. To see it high resolution, click the pics for the full-sized jpegs.

This weekend I'll go figure out FurBid and put the collected #5s up for bid. If you want a set of the tikis and can't attend FC, this is the best way to get them! I'm also keeping all the #1s together to sell as a set. All the rest of the numbered tikis will be gifted or sold individually. Each submitter will have received 12 copies of their design as well, which they can sell, give away or keep as they wish.

Of the five possible slots left to fill, one's been 'reserved' and another has been asked after. That leaves three more if anybody else wants in on this year's wooden-tchotchke fun. :) If this goes half as well as I hope it will, there'll be another project for the following year... and possibly other conventions too!

Wow. I wish I would have known about this, I would have been interested in coming up with a design or two. They're great! I'm not going to FC but I know people who are, so hopefully I will be able to see one of the designs when they get back from the con. =^.^=

A completely different, patron-only design is already done before any of these tikis got underway. Just not putting pics of them in the LJ as the con wanted them as an exclusive for the patrons. :)

They are awesomely cool. Let me ask a simple question (I've read and re-read your entry before asking this), are they avaliable individually or only as a limited complete set? I'm particularily interested in the one of the Minibus with the surfboard on top of it, in fact, 2 of them if they are avaliable saperately.

I'll be at FC and most definately visit the photoshoot as well in suit. So I'm definately wanting the grab the 2 as long as they are for sale!

P.S. How much would they cost roughly? Since prices wasn't mentioned anywhere...
