Tiki stats

Very un-scientific -- just based on observation over the weekend.
-----

First tiki to sell out: Kitsumi's little fox.

Second one to go: Synnabar's bunnies

Third: Of all crazy things, Emoburd's surf busses.

Most common tiki seen worn around the con: Foofers' little rar-dragons. They were small and un-numbered, so we made quite a few. Very very popular.

Number stolen: About 10, I suspect.

Number stolen that we saw the person taking them, teased them mercilessly, then let them keep them anyway: 3

Most commented on: Astolpho's little shell-otters. Those got the "oh wow look at that!" reaction more than any other design.

Most "aww that's so cute!" remarks: A tie between Synnabar's bunnies and Quoting Mungo's micro-foxes.

Most creative use of the basket used to haul the tikis around in: Stolen by the stage-ninjas, emptied back-stage and used to collect the FNL votes from the crowd. Then returned, good as new. :)

Most common remark overall: "Wow, these smell awesome!"

Maybe next year you should do car fresheners. Keep those unwashed congoers smelling fresh! =^.^=

Wait, this was at a FURRY con? That's disappointing. :|

The one I selected was Astolpho's shell-otter. I love the balance of the design.

And yes, they do smell awesome. :)

I'm afraid it doesn't surprise me at all. Heck, I've seen furs steal con door art.

Oh, and great job Tug. Those tiki's were awesome. ^^

The 'suspect' part is because sometimes one person would grab the basket and paw through it, then their friends would surround them. A few dozen would get pulled out and looked at, passed between folk, and it was a little obvious that less than that would go back in.

If we were really worried about it we'd have done better inventory control procedures. A few here and there were expected going in, so we just let it fly.

Yay! I am glad they were well-received, all of them. ~All~ the designs were fantastic! :D

*noddles* Yeah, but even if it's not a big financial loss, it's still sad. I suppose that there'll be a few bad apples in every sufficiently large group of people (and FC has how many attendants nowadays - somewhere in the low four-digit numbers, I think?), and there is no a priori reason why furries should be exempt from this, but still...

The amount of awesome artistry and creativity in your community never ceases to amaze me. I'm looking forward to your photos, as I do every year.

Consistently over the 2K mark, I think. Here's the last numbers I had on con attendance: http://jeran.livejournal.com/271888.html

By any chance, was this Further Confusion? Our (Confusion) Artist GoH this weekend was Diana Harlen-Stein, and she was talking about the Confusion and Further Confusion involved in having both cons be interested in her this weekend.

They'd need to be the size of cars.

I liked your hula bunnies the most. But I didn't get to go to the con so I couldn't have one. *crycrycry*

Hai. FC = Further Confusion. DHS is known to this fandom too, quite so. :)

I was pretty certain. During opening ceremonies, she talked a little bit about FC, too.

But foxiefluffs are cute, so they get away with it!

The logical solution, of course, is either a tiki with one of each on it, or a bunnyfox };>. Cute overload.

-Deuce

do you have any left

um, someone stole my PURSE at FC two years ago, while we were loading out of the furry marketplace on sunday night. I'd been careful with it all weekend, but set it up on the table and then was briefly distracted. they must have grabbed it really fast.

I went up to my room, called hotel security and canceled my credit cards. the thief took all my cash and dumped the bag (with everything else in it, so at least I didn't also lose my makeup bag and all the other random stuffs I had in there) in the coffee garden. so yes, unfortunately not everyone at a FURRY con is a nice person.
