Weekend wildflowers: report to come
Apr. 14th, 2003 03:36 am2.5 days. 960 miles. Desert, mountain and coastal terrain. Relatives of roomates, rockshows and the favorite mexican food of the space shuttle crews. And, most importantly of all, a proper tromp-about and chilling out in fields of pure California gold.

(yes, I hate this picture of myself. That pose is the fattest looking one possible. Still, it's proper wildflowerage. A chillin' Tug cannot resist.)
Seeing as it's 3:30am and I'm amazingly tired, a proper (and heavily picture laden) report will wait until tomorrow or the day after.

Carrizo Plains National Monument. The white cloud you see to the 5:00-position related to the vehicle was spilling into the valley rapidly, as if poured. A moment later we rolled out of there, tires pitching mud, to escape the pursuing fog.

Date: 2003-04-15 03:32 am (UTC)I also like the rotating Element pics. Reminds me of the Hummer H2 ads.
And my favorite tune featured in one of those ads. I found out what it is and promptly downloaded it.
It's the one where the H2 looks like it's driving in Iceland and the music is real droney and spacey.
The track is "It's Very Sunny" by Casino VS Japan (an American!).
I love that track...
