Desktop Backgrounds
Mar. 9th, 2009 08:49 pmMy roomie and I joke with each other that the only reason we travel is to collect more desktop backgrounds for our computers. We both have the habit of only using photos we've taken instead of buying some random backdrop off the web. On a mac it's pretty easy to set the backdrop to rotate every five minutes, so It's like having a little walk down roadtrip memories all through the workday.
Enough folks responded positively about the last image I posted that I figured it'd be fun to share my current backdrop set, which is what the image was taken for. I rotate through them to try and keep it down between 10-20 images at any given time. If you have any questions about the pics (where they were taken, what they're of, etc) just leave a comment and I'll reply.
Feel free to use them for backdrops yourself, but please don't go uploading them other places or take credit for them. They may not be anything special, but at least they're mine. :)

Date: 2009-03-10 03:56 am (UTC)One thing that annoys me about Miami is although we have a lot of waterfront property and sunshine, there's no *terrain*. Everything is completely flat. Mountains and hills and cliffs and such are beautiful and I long for them. :)

Date: 2009-03-10 04:16 am (UTC)Alas, though, that was some 5 years ago. He's passed on. :( Not sure if she plans to get another, but I doubt it. Tigger, as he was oh-so-inventively named, lived in the house for most of his life and would lounge about, watching TV with the family. It was only later in his life (and due to some politics with the neighbors, I heard) that they were forced to build him an enclosure and then eventually move him out there.
He was a big'n, too. About 800lbs.
