A teapot???

Is that an homage to old school bspline teapots that they used to make comp graphics students do?

Or are you making a Batty Hatter tea set?

It sure looks like that one — no coincidence, I'd guess. :)

The parts to make the 3D printer have cost me around $500. That teapot printout cost pennies, though, but took about 45 minutes..

I tried printing a skull as my first object, but the model was faulty and the build failed.

Any idea what the maintenance lifetime of the fabber is? Either that or electricity will likely be the dominant cost, if the plastic was pennies per model.

(Guestimating $1 to $0.1 per hour for amortized equipment cost, no idea what electricity would be, but guessing below $0.1 per hour).

Fascinating to watch you build and play with this widget!
