1.04L of ink
Dec. 2nd, 2009 07:01 pmConvention printing season is going in full swing. Mr. FedEx Man delivers the precious juice, fresh from Amazon. I buy them in double-packs like this, re-ordering when I use up the last one. The scary part is that this is just a partial order. The printer uses 12 inks (R,Gr,B,C,M,Lm,Y,G,Lg,Mk,Pk,E), meaning I usually have 24 carts in stock; this order was only for four of them (R,G,Lg,E). But each cart lasts and lasts.
The nice part: the average consumer printer has ink costs of around $1.90+/mL. It also uses less ink per square inch of paper. Mine's right about $0.38/mL. The bigger the printer, the cheaper it is to run. :)
If you need matte, gloss, canvas, banner-scrim, or sticker prints for the upcoming conventions there's still time to get your order in. Just drop me a line at tugrik@gmail.com. All work is run through a fully-calibrated color system and I guarantee my results!
