...if I have the #'s right. The first one was in 1991, yes?

Still, being that CedarCon stopped at #2, I'm left with the question: what the heck to do for Bastille Day this year? It's been a long time since I've made any real fuss about my birthday... long enough that I'm not sure if I know how to any more. But I think I'm going to try. Any suggestions?

I'd travel somewhere pretty and take pics, but apparently that fails to amuse people. :)

They got a Dave and Busters near you?

It's like Chuck E Cheese's, but for adults.

It's a shame that the coaster bug had to bite me AFTER I went to Cedar Point in 1992. I went to the park feeling kinda scared, and avoided the Magnum. It took a trip to Busch Gardens (Tampa) and a ride on the Kumba (1995) to really give me the coaster bug.

When I worked at Six Flags Magic Mountain I was in heaven. Not only did they have great coasters, but I got to be Wile E. Coyote. :)

You know it's bedtime when...

I read that as "Carbon-14 would have rocked".

I think I need more sleep =o.o=.

Gather a party and raid Oracle!
Its looks like La Bastille!

Actually, it looks like those towers in "Impossible Mission",
that classic Epyx game that's unwinnable due to a bug.

Ah screw it, go to Dave And Buster's...

Damn, Cedarcon #2, that takes me back. I noticed a few months ago that there's no mention of it on the web, not that google can find, anyway. Kind of freaky that the advent of the web has created a mini-dark age for stuff that happened before.

I didn't care much for Dave and Buster's on my last visit, but that was a company outing for my terribly staid employer. Nice employer, mind you, but not many people who were at all interested in the availability of Battletech -- at least I think it was Battletech. It seemed to be closed when we were there, so you may want to call ahead.

First one was in '91; I missed it by -this- much, and odd thing I remember most is Stephan's note on the coaster photo card: 'Hey Kal. Lose weight?'

Second one was in '92. I have pictures, and the photoviewer things, still.

My word, has it been that long? -:}

Suggestions. Hrum. I'd start by thinking of the components of a Cedarcon, and go from there.

Odd question: how many of the folks from 2 are you still in touch with?

(The 'just kidding part': Think your parents would handle people descending on their house?)

I've been to D&B quite a bit in the past. The dotcom companies I worked for used to love it as a corporate party zone. I'm kind of all D&B'd out. :)

So, if I just pick a decent restaurant (like, say, The Stinking Rose or similar), would you like to come along for birthday party stuff? The actual day is Monday, but I could do this anytime during that week.

Cedarcon #2, need to maybe set up a CedarCon (delta)13 perhaps? I also still have the photog keychain thingy from #2. Still don't like coasters much, but waterparks rock. :)
