Monoceri are NOT pincushions!
Oct. 10th, 2003 12:33 pm...but evidently nobody told the healthcare people that. Hrrrf.
No less than 4 lidocane shots while at the dentist (replacing two old silver fillings with new tooth-colored ones, plus a deep gum-cleaning). Three blood-samples, which took no less than 5 pokes with the big hollow-needle due to how hard it is to find a vein on me (which has always been the case). Then, just for good measure, a flu shot.
Ow.
The kicker? Leaving the dentist office and settling the tab, they gave my wallet a painful poke too. They 'oops'ed the insurance evaluation and found out the work I had done actually wasn't covered like they said it would be. Even after they gave me the 'dang, our fault, sorry' 20% discount, it was $750 out of pocket. I wanted to be living below the redline another pay-period anyways. Wheee!
What I find twisted is that I'm actually in a great mood. The satisfaction of getting all this stuff out of the way far outweighs the physical and monetary ouches. :)
