The stockpile of older gadgets swept by the wayside by new ones is getting heavy again. The usual suspects that I pass things on to have either learned to find their own gadget-seeking ways or simply aren't interested in the current round of cast-offs. Something tells me I should e-bay the items that have some value left, but that takes too much effort. :)

Is there anybody who is in the market for a Nokia 9290? They sell for about $550 new still. I'm hoping somone wants it for $100 or so. I've also got a Go-To Nexstar telescope that I'm hoping someone wants for $50, since it's cluttering up the spare room. (Yes, it comes with the two included eyepieces) Someday I'll get the telescope I want; this one wasn't it.

I'm also trying to round up all the other unused tech that should be given away for free. This next week I'll dig out the old CD-portables and mp3 players, give out the ones that are already spoken for and then post the rest to find them new homes. I've also got a ton of RC car equipment, some older gadget-watches, and even a used HD tuner. Time to get catalogin'...

Sure.. I may be willing to move some of this off your hands.. esp. seeing as I'm working again. Nab me online or email and we'll discuss specifics? :)

Ooh. I might be keen on the telescope, if it's not spoken for yet. Perhaps some of the other impending doodads...do keep us abreast. Thanks!

When I finally got a job after two years of unemployment I finally got state of the art stuff - and found out I still have a ton of not so state of the art stuff. Cell phones, a Snappy (remember what that was?) laptop batteries, and yes, even a Wacom tablet and a CD player that will play MP3 disks I used before I had a CD player in the car that would do it. I have Thursday scheduled for a tentative ebay sell off of this stuff, though a good bit of it won't sell because it's too far out of date. But someone on a tight budget would still be able to use it as it all still works, so I will have givaway goodies as well.

One thing I may actually be looking FOR that is obsolete is an old standard phone that takes a PCS chip. Since I have smashed no fewer than 6 PDA's at my job I am really hesitant about wearing my MPX200 at work. I need some cheapo phone I can put the chip in that can be subject to damage or possibly destruction. The chip design hasn't changed in at least 5 years so I should be able to find something.

I have a pair of Nokia 5120s (I think)... I'll grab one when I get home to doublecheck. They're about 3-4 years old-ish? Hubby thinks they're PCS, and we can't remember which cel-service we had with those. Pop me an email at bonehead_arts at yahoo.com, and I'll remember to check tonight.

GAH. Telescope. *whimper* They were auctioning one at the Texas State Aquarium gala, but of course I couldn't enter in that... Man, I miss having a telescope.

Just adding to the comments, since it seems others have expressed interest in it already.

A HD tuner?

I've got some friends into RC cars, they might be interested in buying that, I'll ask.

Watches, ooo... I'm interested.

I don't have a CD-portable or MP3 player, one with a car-tape adaptor would be neat, if you've one to spare.

Ooo! Techie toys. (Even if outdated.) I will be waiting with bated breath for the list.

Oh!
Do you need any help with this?
Yea, I know you have housemates, but you have a bum knee etc. etc. and extra hands can't hurt?

Probably already spoken for, but let me know on the Telescope. I think my mate would kill for something like that by the looks of it.
