You know the NyQuil is working when you start having vivid dreams about the entire cast of the muppet show chasing you around singing "Hubba Hubba Zoot Zoot".

I'm back at work today, having passed the worst of the cold, but I'm still terribly airheaded. I found out that even with the one sick day yesterday and the 3 days I'm going to take off over new year's day I'll still have 178 hours of unused vacation (!!). My office won't let me sell back any so I need to actually plan a long vacation sometime this spring.

Also, for [livejournal.com profile] custer_winston and any other friends using a SmartphoneOS device:

Space Invaders
PacMan

These are both very true to the arcade editions and also freeware, written by some SPV (a version of the smartphone) enthusiasts in the UK. Be sure to read the readme files on how to install as they're not nicely packaged click-and-runs.

They also do not appear to exist, but not a problem. I still need to figure out all the stuff the phone already has before I start getting that fancy. Still have not figure out how to send email. My IMAP account can't do it and I don't even know what the name of the ATT SMTP server is, or even if there is one.

Did go to Tmobile today. On November 24 I'm changing carriers for sure. I also get yet another phone out of it, this can be my one to carry on the job where I smash a PDA about every 6 weeks. My expendable phone....

Fixed the links before you could reply. :)

As far as SMTP, there are a few custom programs that can use it. Who is your normal ISP? Can you use theirs? My sites, for instance, use pop-before-smtp service so I can trigger a read (pop or imap) and then am allowed to send.

The two games are harmless. Single executibles, self contained. You just have to make your own menu shortcuts is all. Of all the various 'try this it's cool' software out there, these are the least invasive I've found.

Silly me

I had my username entered where the entire email address is supposed to go. Also, my IMAP4 server required authentication. It now works.

I suppose the only limitation of the Smartphone over Windows Mobile Phone edition is the latter's ability to handle multiple amil accounts. With the phone, it can handle any type, but only one. I hardly need to activesync my email to a phone. And since my inbound POP3 mail has no corresponding outbound server, I'll use the IMAP account in the phone.

If you have multiple computers and other mail enabled devices, IMAP is a lot better anyway, at least for me, as I can never remember which PC or other device was used to download a particular POP3 message.

P.S. I would not have bought the 50 icon option for this account if I knew I was going to get 5 more for free anyway!

Dragons freaking on music are fun to watch. :)

You've never heard HHZZ? It's ancient-80's stuff, done by a swedish band of all crazy things. It was the morning "wake up song" on tons of radio stations, including the one up in Grand Rapids, MI that I listened to.

Be sure to check out the Anime Music Video someone put together of Jinnai and the Bugrom from "El Hazard" singing that };>.

What they said...iTunes, endless repeat, stick in iPod, etc.

What's really embarrassing is that I first heard this song a few years ago but had no idea what the name was in order to track it down. And yet, upon seeing your mention of it, knew exactly the song you were talking about. Gah.

Thanks for filling that void. :)

The hubby has been stocking up on Vacation Time, so he can be home starting from a week before my due-date through to the end of the year. And since Christmas and New Years fall on Thursdays, the office will be closed on the Fridays as well. He's got exactly enough stockpiled vacation time to be off from the 11th of December to 5 January. He is very happy about that.
