It's ok to be done now

tugrikAfter many months of occasional (and sometimes more) gameplay, my primary character has reached Battle Rank 20.

Command Rank: 3.85
I've run through the gamut of gameplay options, having cert'd and de-cert'd every option in the game at least once. I made BR20 while an Advanced Hacker with no vehicle certs but all three Max armor types. The promotion came during a high-power slog through Gunuku. Having become good at the anti-personnel max, I was wading through a veritable sea of enemies, mowing down a 15-to-1 kill ratio or better, owning their spawn room. Bliss.
Sure, I could grab squad-leader position more now and try to go for CR5 -- the highest level of command rank. That'd take a stupiidly long time, though, and I honestly think it's OK to be Done until the next really cool thing comes along.

Date: 2003-11-14 04:44 am (UTC)I got this guy on Konried up to BR20 sometime back before they changed around base cap experience for grunts, and hit CR4 about a month ago. If I remember my history, I hit BR20 while Goon Squad was kicking ass and taking names in the Shango-Pamba area of Cyssor, and I had hitched a ride in a squadmate's liberator so I could go get another tank. It's amazing what that 25mm gun can do to reavers.
C'mon, you haven't tried it all until you can rain death onto your enemies from above. Go for CR4, if just for the second bracer. You're close enough that it shouldn't take more than a few good base captures to get there, and Markov has the population to support really good fights. You know you want your name up there in the killspam for a crowded AMS kill that nobody could get close enough to kill conventionally.
