Ink shake fist?

Yes, they're extreme. Yes, they have 13 titanium plates bolted on, ceramic-infused leather palm, Nomex fireproofing, Pittards studded armor on the palm, plated gauntlets and water resistant leather everywhere else. What surprised me was how well they fit and how smoothly they move. Normally uber-armored motorcycle gloves are terribly stiff and force your hand to retain a "C" shape; good for holding on to a handlebar but not much else. These move as good as my Held ones, though armored much more heavily. They should be just as good in a drop/slide accident, and probably much better in a knuckle-impact situation. They're not fully waterproof, however, so they won't make the best rain-riding gloves, just like my Helds don't. The search for better winter gloves than my JoeRockets is still on.
The "Mad Max" look of them isn't lost on me, not by a longshot; they look and feel properly dragon-scaled. The fact that they're XXXL and fit big-palmed Tugpaws was a huge bonus. Not only do they fit better than the other gloves I own, they are intimidatingly huge. I can't help but walk around the house with them on, constantly clenching my fist and shaking it menacingly at the roomates, cats, walls, images on the TV, and so forth. It's just that I have to wear them a bit to break them in -- yeah, that's the ticket.

and many thanks to the silly Ink Fox for the shake-fist inspiration!
