Oh, the humanity!

I just subjected myself to the consumerist hell that is Fry's Electronics on the day after Christmas. Screaming matches in the parking lots as SUVs fight over compact spaces, scratched and dinged doors from people parked too close trying to get boxes in and out of their cars, a 30 minute returns line that went out the front door (in the rain!) and isles full of yowling young ones crying their eyes out over toys they wanted but didn't get, mum and da snapping them up to earn a moment's rest from their banshee howls.

Now it feels like Christmas. :)

I too paid a visit to Fry's tonight, to pick up some needed cabling. Surprisingly though, there was no one waiting in the return line, and though the parking lot was stuffed to the gills, the interior was surprisingly uncrowded.

JESUS! Boy I'm glad I have nothing to return. Gotta buy a Gamecube, but I can do that anywhere.

And Age of Mythology is phenomenal. One of the best games this year (after Arx fatalis and Hearts of Iron, but only just)
