going There(tm)

tugrikJust as an aside: Thanks to Frang, I've been in on the last few betas of a 3D chat-world (kind of like a graphical mu*) called There. If you haven't signed up for the beta, go do so! It's definately worth the time spent.
I'm having way too much fun with it -- and being sneaky by keeping a There window open at work sometimes. I don't know why seeing a 3D virtual world is so satisfying some days. Maybe it has something to do with being a visualization assistance. All I know is that sitting on top of an Outlook window full of annoyances, vendors, and Diamond Daveisms... is my private surf-shack, with palms gently rustling in the ocean breeze.
It may only be virtual, but taking a nap on the lanai really helps the workday.
I've got a whole mess of thoughts on this whole 3D-mu* concept... I'll think on them over my little vacation-break and jot something about it when I get back. For now, it's just all too cool.
