Does acquiring stress in your life allow the flu to take root? Or does acquiring the flu lead to a stressed out life?

*stares at the screen at 5:50am, queazy and grumpy*

While both are true I'm currently of the opinion that the latter is the case. Either way it's absolutely no fun. It would, however, explain why my Saturday went so much worse than the stimuli at hand warranted.

Being stressed out does run you down physically, and if you're run down physically, your immune system isn't likely to be working at 100%, meaning catching colds and flu are more likely.

That's why things like 'con crud' are so prevalent after conventions. Too many people wear themselves out by being quite active and staying up until all hours, and whatever bugs there are around take hold easily.

The former. Stress is, well, stressful.
