I'm trying to sell off my Canon EOS D30 camera. While I know I could stuff it on ebay and get $900-1100 for it (I researched this by looking at recent auctions) I'd rather try to pass it on to a friend who could use a rock-solid dSLR for a little less. I'm happier knowing it goes to a good home than I would be simply making more money off of its resale. I'm hoping for $800 but I can negotiate if you're a friend. :)

It's a 2 year old, pristine condition D30: 3.34mpix, 16b per channel CMOS with neckstrap, battery, battery charger, serial cable, video cable and software CD's. As with most all SLR cameras, it doesn't sell with lenses or "film" (in this case, CF cards). I don't have the original box but I can happily give you a good Tamrac bag for it, since I swapped to the Pelican case gear. For those who aren't into SLRs already, you can get a basic 28-80 lens for $40-80 or so to get started. I'll also be more than glad to give training and advice.

The reason for selling is of course to upgrade to the 10D. I love the D30 and it's served me well -- doing two rounds of FC photoshoots plus all the other stuff you've seen on the images site -- but I need the better dark-handling capability and the higher pixelcount of the 10D for the type of work I want to do.
