Today was the usual Annual iPod Announcement show thingus. Nothing too radical; just refreshes of most of the iPod line, updates to iTunes and a reminder that they will eventually fix the buggy iPhone (firmware update to try again this Friday). It wasn't all that exciting of a release.

But still, apple geek or no... y'gotta love all the pretty colors. I just can't decide between blue and purple. Luckily my current iPod needs are well met, so I don't have to make that choice.

the orange one is shiny... but I just contributed to the cult of Stevebought in iPhone, my day-to-day music is on an 2nd Gen Nano (red), and I still have my entire music collection on an 80GB video but... *shiny*

Maybe Friday I can actually try turning on 3G again. I'd turned it off to save battery and wean myself off playing with it constantly.

Oh, wow, hmmm. I like the concept of Product (Red). But purple is really one of my colors. But I could get an orange one to match my precious orange Shuffle from a couple refreshes back (that itself a tribute to the tangerine iBook I had as my first laptop). Hmmmm.

Then again, I have a perfectly functional 8GB Product (Red) second generation iPod. But, the thought of bumping up to 16GB is tempting ...
