Moleskine notebook covers really do love the laser.

I've been keeping up on your output from your new machine, and have some ideas I'd like to discuss sometime. You also mentioned some ideas of your own, if I'm not mistaken. Drop me a line off-list, let's do some damage.

Need to see how it does on the leather ones.

That's sweet. I have a bunch of those that I use for notes. Never thought they could look so classy, though! :)

You have to go and stick dragons on everything when I'm broke, don't you? :)

As if I'd charge you anything. :) Got any designs you want on one of these?

It's more of a plasticine than a leather, but yeah, faux leather moleskine.

how much would you charge to do a design on one?

For local friends, while I'm still learning? If you have the art and the moleskine, just drop it by and I'll run the job. :)

If you need me to create or acquire the art and supply the moleskine, then I can get some prices together for ya.

Whee.

What format would the art need to be in?

For bitmap, about any image format will do (jpg, png, tif, etc).
For vector, anything .eps, .pdf, .ai or corel draw format.

Just remember on the art: where it's black, the laser cuts away leaving light brown, etched moleskine. Where it's white, the laser does no cutting, leaving the normal black moleskine cover.

I just read a few days ago that the glossy Moleskine covers are full of PVC.

The cardboard ones should be okay tho.

Yup! This is why I'm working on the paperboard based ones and not the plasticine-covered style.
