Dunno what it was yet... but it felt 3.5-ish.

Quake info

Being on the 11th floor in a downtown San Jose hi-rise makes it fun. :) We are in our 10a morning meeting talking about service tickets and VM performance and here we go with a nice Building Hula. It wasn't quite a "hold on to the table" event, but it definitely moved folks about in their chairs.

Update: The automated systems now call it a 4.6, halfway between Morgan Hill and the east side of San Jose.
Update 2nd: Reviewed by a seismologist. Now it's listed as a 4.3.

I was on the 15th floor during one of Northridge Quake's 4-day-after aftershocks, about 3 miles from the epicenter. Serious wobble. Freaked me the hell out.

didn't feel a thing at San Tomas/101....

I was in the middle of a midterm. *laughs* It seems that only those seated noticed it, the folks in the hall missed it.

The last reasonable sized quake we had found me on the 7th floor of my dorms....I too understand Building Hula. (And love the term!)

It woke me up.

I stayed put to see what it would do--quit or continue.

Did you feel it?

Okay, now "building hula" is damned funny.

Glad you're okay! What a way to liven up the meeting, eh?
