I have a few items I'm going to sell on Craigslist or otherwise dispose of. I'd like to give those who read my journal a chance for 'em first if anybody is interested. I always feel better when gadgets and such are passed on to folks I know instead of just dumped on a sales site somewhere.

  • Dell Mini 9 Hackintosh. Black lid. 2GB RAM, 32GB SSD, OSX 10.5.6 loaded and happily running. $225. My big paws simply can't use the littletiny keyboard. While it was a ton of fun to build and make work I stopped using it shortly thereafter. I'll try again with another netbook variant with a larger keyboard for big ol' Tug-paws.

  • Banshee Morphine hard-tail downhill bicycle frame. This is the frame you want if you're going to build a bike to go head to head with a sherman tank. They go for $700 new. Mine is in excellent condition (no cracks, no structural damage, paint is still very good) and I'll sell it for $325. You can make one hell of a bike with this.

  • Sigma DP1 full-sized-sensor compact camera. Comes with hood and optical viewfinder add-on. $400/obo. Pristine condition. New they sell for $550 (camera) + $100 for the hood and viewfinder. I had a blast with this camera but once I got the Canon 5D MkII I totally forgot about the Sigma. It's been sitting around doing nothing and needs a good home. If you know what a 'full-sized Foveon sensor' means, you'll know why this camera is great. If not, you're probably more interested in a traditional compact camera instead.

  • Vendo H90-10 early 1970s soda machine. Cooler works, vending mechanism works, coin box works. All the missing shelves were replaced with factory originals so it can hold a full 10 rails of bottles. I use it as an everyday soda fridge at my workshop (and make my friends pay quarters). It's a bit ugly but fully functional. I dearly love it and want to keep it... but it makes me drink soda. I no longer want to drink soda. I must be rid of the temptation, and that means getting rid of this. $100 and you gotta bring a truck to haul it away. It's effin' huge. If you did a full restoral job on it you could sell it for a decent amount.

  • Full sized 1960s drafting table with drafting machine. $100 and you haul it away. It's got the full counter-balanced, pedal-controlled tilt and lift/lower. It's a monster, just like the ones I used back in high school drafting class. The only thing it's missing are the plastic rulers that snap into place on the rotary part of the drafting machine. It'd make someone an Ultimate Art Desk. I need the space in my shop more than I need the dang table. It was fun to have but needs a new owner now.

(and no, the TV and Xbox aren't included; just the big-ass green table!)

There'll be more, but these are the items I hope sell first.

That looks like a rather sturdy bike frame indeed, yes, to say the least. It's also interesting how it's so totally different from mine. *s*

One of my local friends has a desperately dying laptop and a tight budget ... I know at one point he was considering a Hackintosh. Let me poke him and see if he ever decided if he could manage with one or if the price is right ...

Oh, damn, if I wasn't so far across the country that it'd be cheaper to buy a new one than to ship that, I would be all over that drafting table.

If you can't get any one more needy for the Mini, we can possibly chat. :)

If I was on the west coast, the soda machine would be sold. =(

That so looks like the drafting table I sold years ago. Sigma camera? Wish I could.
