Seriously. The phrase "Laser Vent" brings images of something far more exotic than "vent that pulls dust away from the laser cutter".

Of course, once you start down that road, the phrase "Laser Cutter" brings up images of something with a coherent photon drive and a Coast Guard racing stripe.

Where's your extraction fan located?

Currently my vent snakes over the garage floor and exits through an oversized clothes dryer type port I fitted into the garage door.

The fan is on the roof; it's a waterproof/weather-sealed unit, permanently wired in, with a light-switch on the wall (which you see on the picture there). It means that inside you only hear the moving air, not the screaming blower. :)
