I've actually got feet, not wheels. :)
May. 16th, 2002 07:50 pmThis is in response to a few stray comments sent my way while online. From the writings here one might get the impression that I'm All About the Motorcycle Thing, as lately that's all I've really written about. I can definately see how these entries can give that impression. I probably come across as quite the two-wheeled junkie. *chuckle*
In actuality, I'm just still getting the hang of letting the more important things show. While not exactly shy, I tend to at least be pretty laid back when it comes to having things to say in public. The 'day in the life' and 'I'm so pissed at (whatever)' postings just aren't my style, though they work well for many of my friends (and in fact, I enjoy reading them). I also tend to keep my politics out of other's faces, so I'm not much of a rant-or-opinion writer. So for now, the motorcycle side of life is an easy and decently detailed thing to chronicle.
When the frenzy of this first big tour is over, I'll start getting back into more meaningful things. Hopefully the many miles on the road will help my thoughts come together; there's a lot of parts to life right now that I need to come to decisions on. I've also become an active member on a rather nifty little board called ADVRider, and I'll start shunting the bulk of the two-wheely bits over there, as it's more a proper audience for such things.
I really do have a lot I want to say. I'll get to it soon, I promise. :)
