If you've wanted to attend BurningMan but never got around to it, I highly recommend catching the flick Confessions of a Burning Man if it's in your area. Right now it's in Campbell and SF. It's excellent at catching a few of the many facets the festival has created. My only real complaint is that it's a little lopsided of a view. Showing only the good and positive aspects (with only a gentle touching-past on the annoyances of human nature) is very enjoyable but feels mildly propagandist; kind of like the whole thing was an advert designed to increase attendance.

The most important thing about Burning Man is that for every one of the 30,000 people who attend there's a different way of seeing it. The entirety of the festival is simply that open for interpretaion. Having attended 8 years' worth of the festival I found the film to include so very much of what's important... while leaving even more out.

Still, even though it's the goody-two-shoes side of BurningMan it's definitely a film I recommend. The sights, sounds and music in the movie are well worth the ticket price and time spent for burners and want-to-be burners alike.
