tugrikIt's been a decently productive day. We got my father's computer upgraded to XP (with OfficeXP), fixed a few problems with his software installs and then went out to the garage to play with tools.
He'd purchased a set of engine bars for his VTX1800 motorcycle but was having problems putting them on. It took a few hours and a trip to the hardware store before we got most of it solved. The last little bit involved an air-powered grinder tool. It's not a real project until the air tools come out. *RIZZzzzzz* I love those things.
A minor mod was done to a mis-cast metal edge and then the new bars fit beautifully. I took some pics of him chuffin' around on those monster cans (900cc per cylinder, yo!). He looks very at-home on the bike, like I remember from back when he rode the old Virago 1000. The new bars look good, too.
Revar is off with my mom exploring the Rogue River gorge area and taking fall-scenery pictures. They should be back soon as the sun is just now setting. My dad and I are making his famous chicken noodle casserole for when they get back.
Tomorrow early we hop on the road back, but we're doing Highway 1 the whole way. It should be 10-11 hours on-road time in total, but it should be lovely. I've never been to the Lost Coast before and I'm really going to enjoy taking pictures the whole way.
