Exceptionally cool GI doc. Plus.
In the end, the day turned out for the positive.
Saw my GI (gastrointerologist) for a routine checkup at 4pm. Things have been going well enough I haven't had to see him in 2 years. He remembered me and much to my approval still has the most amazingly cool attitude of any doctor I've ever met. Fun, informative, friendly and downright good to talk to. This is the kind of doc that you walk out of his office just feeling better about life. If more doctors had his kind of patient-handling mannerisms there'd be more healthy people, just from the positive vibes alone. The checkup went great, too.
Thanks for all the advice/kind words on the last post and in email, BTW. You guys are great. Don't fret too much on my behalf, though. I have a somewhat rhino-like skin (go figure) about weight issues, so while I was grumpy having that guy go off at me didn't really "get to me". I shrugged it off and blew up folks underground in Planetside:Core Combat for a while, and all was better.
